FOOD & WATER

  • Store at least a three day supply of water per household member. Allow one gallon of water per household member per day for consumption, cooking, and sanitation, stored in sanitized plastic containers. Seal water containers tightly and store in a cool, dark place.
  • Store at least a three day supply of non-perishable foods per household member.
  • Choose foods that require no refrigeration, preparation, or cooking, and little or no water of possible. Be sure to rotate food and water based on expiration dates. Examples:
